With around 20 minutes remaining, the Egyptian winger entered the game and scored a spectacular goal in the 93rd minute.
It was his 43rd goal for the Reds in major European tournaments, the most goals any player has ever scored for an English team.
Two of those were scored this season in the Europa League, and the remaining 41 occurred in the Champions League.It exceeds Henry’s record of 42 goals during his time at Arsenal, which included 35 in the Champions League and 7 in the UEFA Cup.
Incredibly, Salah can now add this record to his impressive collection, which already includes the most goals ever scored by an English club in the Champions League, the most goals ever scored by an African player in UEFA club competitions, and the record for most goals scored by Liverpool in both the Premier League and Europe.
