I wrote an article about Liverpool’s recent comfort with winning ugly just a few days ago. I predicted in that piece that the fun victories would happen more frequently.
Two days later, I wasn’t entirely sure it would happen, but I can’t really complain. In this game, the Reds dominated from the start and put on a show for the faOn this particular night, five different players scored goals. The names of Diogo Jota, Wataru Endo, Darwin Nunez, Ryan Gravenberch, and Mo Salah were shown. Before kickoff, it was one of those well-rounded games that managers hope to see.
Gravenberch and Endo were two of the strongest lights this evening. The Dutchman keeps demonstrating his enormous talent, both now and in the futureIt is these kinds of performances that teams can improve upon. The nice thing happens when young players get to play alongside the big boys and the team as a whole continues to play at a high level.
Toulouse had no answer for the Reds on this particular day, and there are all the signs that they could be unstoppable when Liverpool travels to France for the rematch.
At Anfield, the game last night was really gorgeous. free from tension and full of goals. Fans should anticipate seeing more of it in the future. This group possesses it. I hope this is only the beginning. Retry it on Sunday.
