When Liverpool plays Toulouse at Anfield in Group E of the Europa League, Ibrahima Konate will start.
In the Merseyside derby against Everton last weekend, Konate just avoided being sent out. The center-back tripped Toffees attacker Beto while already having a caution, but he did not get another.
Konate, who has been plagued by persistent injury problems ever since arriving to Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021, will sit out the match against Toulouse. In central defense, Virgil van Dijk and Jarell Quansah provide cover as Joe Gomez and Joel Matip start.
