Fabrizio Romano, a renowned transfer specialist, sheds light on Liverpool’s rumored interest in Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen.
Liverpool’s pursuit of the Nigerian forward has been the subject of rumors, but Romano clarifies the situation at the moment.
Romano argues in his most recent YouTube video that:”According to some media, Victor Osimhen and Liverpool have already agreed on his contract conditions. According to what I’ve been told, Victor Osimhen hasn’t signed a contract with any club, not even Napoli.
Regarding the contract extension, there is no consensus. Osimhen received a pretty significant proposition from Napoli in the form of a contract and the largest compensation offer in the club’s history.
But he hasn’t made a decision and he hasn’t reached a deal with any club. Osimhen will therefore take his time. The rumors of a deal with Liverpool are untrue.
Liverpool and numerous other teams undoubtedly keep an eye on the position of numerous strikers. For Osimhen, however, nothing has been finalized or agreed upon as of yet.
Initial reports said that Liverpool and the Napoli striker had agreed on personal terms, but Romano disputes these assertions.
He challenges the idea that an agreement is in place by claiming that such reports are baseless.
Unknown internal reasons, such as a social media incident involving the team and the player’s agency pondering legal action, are the cause of Osimhen’s likely exit from Napoli. Transfer rumors have grown more intense due to this unrest.
Although Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stated a desire to improve his offensive alternatives, it is still unclear whether Osimhen meets the criteria.
Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo, and Diogo Jota are already talented members of the Liverpool team, so there may not be a need to pursue the Napoli striker.
