The game must end because there is no law and no one will perish. -Paul Merson and Mike Dean argue about the Liverpool VAR dispute

Paul Merson of Sky Sports and Mike Dean, a former Premier League official, got into a heated disagreement about Liverpool winger Luis Diaz’s goal against Tottenham Hotspur that was not allowed.

Nine-man Liverpool lost to Spurs 2-1 last week in the Premier League, but the match was marred by controversy because of a crucial VAR mistake. In the first half, with the score still 0-0, Luis Diaz scored a fantastic goal.

Replays revealed that he was easily onside even though the linesman had labeled him as being offside. Despite this, the VAR-using officials were unable to overturn the on-field judgment.Following the blunder, the PGMOL publicly apologized to Liverpool. However, there is no progress in the VAR discussion.

Mike Dean was questioned about how to win during a Sky Sports show.He said (through ECHO): “VAR can be improved.”
