Liverpool will be visiting Brighton on Sunday in an effort to resume its winning ways after the pandemonium of the previous weekend.
Liverpool may have triumphed on Thursday in Europe, but after the debacle against Spurs—the Reds’ first defeat of the 2023–24 campaign—the club could still use a comfortable, consoling, controversy-free victory in the Premier League.
However, Jurgen Klopp would not have picked Brighton (a) as the game to use as a springboard to bounce back from such a crushing defeat.
Despite the 6-1 loss at Aston Villa, the Roberto De Zerbi team continues to be one of the Premier League’s toughest opponents, and Liverpool has only won once in the previous seven meetings with the Seagulls.
Here are some predictions.
But defensively, they can be a little inconsistent as well. Only the bottom three teams have surrendered more goals (14), and they haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet in a match of any significance all season.
The Reds don’t have many options in attack because to injuries and suspensions, but they do have three players with significant pace and goal-scoring potential in Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, and Darwin Nuez. I’m going with Liverpool to triumph.

I anticipate Liverpool to concede the first goal as expected, but as we’ve seen so frequently this season, the team comes from the back.

Although the Reds’ recent record against Brighton isn’t terrific, if Liverpool hadn’t suffered a loss the week before, I might be more worried about this match.
Even though it seems cliche, Klopp’s team must act quickly and may use the injustice of last weekend as inspiration to move forward.
