Villa manager Emery: Klopp must acknowledge VAR’s fault

It was legitimate for Tottenham to defeat Liverpool in the Premier League last weekend.

Unai Emery, the manager of Aston Villa, expressed that opinion when asked about the situation.

After having a Luis Diaz goal unjustly disallowed for offside, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp suddenly asked a review for his team.

According to Emery, there were more errors made prior to the introduction of VAR.

“At this point, I can accept some VAR errors. There are simply a few… minor errors. Obviously, Liverpool made a significant error against Tottenham in the most recent match, but we must recognize that there were more errors in the past without VAR.

Because it’s common, I listened in on the officials’ talk. They were upset about their error, but they were unable to respond because the game had already resumed. It’s an error. I’ll take it. Of course, it is harder for Liverpool.

Even though it’s harder for Jurgen, I accept it. I am aware that mistakes were more common in the past than they are now. But if there is a mistake, you must accept it as before. Therefore, you must accept it like before, when there was no VAR, by saying “no, no” to a replay.
