Following a game against Liverpool, Tottenham issued a statement denouncing the racial abuse one of their players had experienced. On Saturday night at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, Spurs and Liverpool played in a Premier League match, with the home team winning 2-1 thanks to Matip. That doesn’t really tell the whole tale of the game, though, as controversy pervaded the proceedings. In addition, a more negative part of the game has now come to light, with Spurs full-back Destiny Udogie receiving racist comments on social media after the game.since was already said, the game had a contentious atmosphere since ‘human error’ disallowed a valid goal for the Reds.

Due to a miscommunication between the VAR and the on-field officials, Luis Diaz was ruled to have been offside when he was very clearly onside.

The goal should have been awarded as a result of the VAR’s intervention because this was a glaring factual error, but it did not. PGMOL will carry out a thorough investigation into the circumstances that gave rise to the error.
