Wolves were nothing short of sensational in the first half, and their enthusiasm utterly outclassed that of struggling Liverpool. Early on, with the visitors finding it difficult to get past a tight Wolves midfield, Gary O’Neil tried to win possession high up the field.
When the Reds finally entered the final third, O’Neil’s team easily handled a painfully one-paced Reds onslaught. Instead of using a natural holding midfielder, Wolves were a continuous threat going the other way. However, despite creating numerous wonderful opportunities, Wolves were unable to extend their lead.
 After the break, Klopp had to adjust his strategy, and Liverpool were immediately better as Wolves fought to contain the Reds’ comeback at the start of the second half. By the time O’Neil responded to Liverpool’s push, the visitors had tied the score. After halftime, the match’s dynamics completely changed.
In the end, Wolves’ continued decline made Liverpool’s late performance inevitable and allowed the visitors to eventually steal all three points from Molineux. O’Neil, whose squad just ran out of gas in the second half, has cause for optimism despite this.
GK: Alisson – 5/10 – The Brazilian needed little assistance after Hwang gave the game an early lead.
Joe Gomez, RB, had a score of 4/10 because, unlike Trent Alexander-Arnold, he did not particularly enjoy playing with Pedro Neto.
CB: Joel Matip received a 5/10 rating for his performance in Gomez’s opening-game goal for the Wolves. after the restart, better.
CB Jarell Quansah scored a 7/10. On his first start in the Premier League, quite impressive. A calm and collected client.
LB: Andy Robertson – 8/10 – Robertson was caught off guard at the back post for Wolves’ first goal, but he generally had few defensive issues and served as a good outlet going forward, as seen by his neat finish.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 3/10 – An early yellow card seemed to take him entirely off his game, and by halftime, he was hooked.
Dominik Szoboszlai, one of only a select few players, was prepared to match Wolves’ early intensity and was essential to Liverpool’s improved second-half performance. But there were some clumsy times in the possession.
Curtis Jones scored a 5/10. On his return to the starting XI, he struggled to fully engage in the game.
RW: Mohamed Salah scored all of Liverpool’s goals while putting in a solid performance (7/10).
Cody Gakpo scored the equalizer just before he was supposed to be replaced. had throughout the first half appeared lost.
 LW: Diogo Jota received a 5/10 because his withdrawal was preceded by brief bursts of enthusiasm.
Luis Diaz (46′ for Mac Allister) is a substitute.
Jota’s Harvey Elliott (56′) – 7 out of 10 The Premier League has determined that his deflected effort was an own goal by Hugo Bueno.
Gakpo’s Darwin Nunez (56′) earned a 6/10.
Ibrahima Konate (83′ for Quansah) received a 6/10.
Ryan Gravenberch (90+3 for Salah) scored N/A, and Jurgen Klopp received a 7/10 rating. Due to injury, Klopp’s impromptu lineup appeared lost in the first half, but the German manager deserves praise for altering the game’s trajectory with his substitutions after the break.
