Jurgen Klopp’s agent has disqualified the Liverpool manager from being the future head coach of Germany.
Hansi Flick was fired this week after he managed just 12 victories out of 25 matches after succeeding Joachim Low as manager of the national team of Germany.
Flick was fired as Germany’s manager for the first time ever since the position was established in 1926 after losing four of his final five games.
The German FA has identified Klopp as a possible target ahead of the European Championship, which will be held in Germany next summer.
Although it had been suggested that the 56-year-old could play both parts, Klopp’s representative, Marc Kosicke, has said the German is not interested in taking Flick’s place and that Klopp is still dedicated to Liverpool.
“Jurgen has a long-term contract with Liverpool and is not available for the national coaching position,” Kosicke said to Sportschau.
In-between manager Rudi Voller led the team to a 2-1 victory over World Cup champions France on Tuesday in Dortmund.
