Karou Mitoma, a winger for Brighton & Hove Albion, is said to be moving to Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur next summer. Fabrizio Romano provides an update.
Recent developments indicate that Liverpool has also entered the Japanese international race. However, due to his footballing prowess, Mitoma is also attracting significant interest from Tottenham and Arsenal.
In his most recent CaughtOffSide essay, Fabrizio Romano provided clarification on the situation. Mitoma has had a strong start to this season as Brighton appears to be in excellent shape.
Clubs must hold off before signing the Japanese winger, though. Karou Mitoma and Evan Ferguson are not being sold by the Seagulls, according to Romano.
Romao spoke on the circumstance and said:
“I’d want to dispel a few Man City transfer rumors that have been going around. Some fans have asked me specifically about the connections to Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma, who has also been cited as a player Liverpool are keeping an eye on.
“From what I gather, there is currently nothing to disclose regarding players or clubs. I asked today. Mitoma is adored by Brighton, and they undoubtedly want him to sign a long-term contract.
It’s very typical for elite teams to be watching him, but, as I previously stated for Evan Ferguson and Mitoma, nothing will happen this or next month despite the ten or more links we receive each week.
Given that Brighton value Mitoma at less than £70 million, he has been one of Roberto De Zerbi’s team’s brightest prospects. If Mohamed Salah were to depart the team in the future, Liverpool would turn to the Japanese international.
