Michael Owen and PGMOL president Howard Webb discussed a variety of situations from the first four gameweeks of the new Premier League season on the show, which analyzes VAR decisions, which aired on Tuesday.

Webb didn’t bring up Alexis Mac Allister’s contentious red card against Bournemouth, which was eventually overturned on appeal.

The audio from Thomas Bramall’s decision to send the Argentine midfielder off for a challenge on Ryan Christie and Paul Tierney’s VAR call were not made public.
Liverpool supporters expressed their ire on social media at the lack of release of any VAR audio from that incident involving Mac Allister and Christie.
“So, we didn’t get the VAR audio for when Paul Tierney, who despises Klopp, and his VAR assistant, who elbowed Andy Robertson, somehow *agreed* that Mac Allister DESERVED a red — before an independent panel and various people said the red card was ‘nonsense’,” commented X user @paul_tomkins. “Why do they get to choose which audio to release?” inquired the second. Then why?

The FA reversed the judgement, and Liverpool was successful in its appeal of Mac Allister’s red card, preventing the player from serving a three-match suspension.
