Billy Koumetio, a star for Liverpool’s U-21 team, will go on loan to Dunkerque.

According to L’Equipe, Billy Koumetio, a star for Liverpool’s U-21 team, will likely sign a loan deal with Dunkerque of Ligue 2.

The 20-year-old made the switch from French club US Orleans to the Reds in 2020, and since then, he has played a significant role in the English club’s development divisions.

The French youth joined to Austria Wien on loan last summer, but his time there was short, and in January he returned to his parent club.

Prior to Stefan Bajcetic breaking the record last year, he also held the distinction of being the Reds’ youngest-ever representative in the Champions League during a match against Midtjylland in 2020.

The gifted French center back has played 49 times at the under-21 level and was also a member of Liverpool’s U-19 team, who advanced to the quarterfinals.

The Ligue 1 team has identified the defender with German ancestry as a potential replacement for Arthur Theate, who Liverpool and Fulham are interested in signing.

The future of Mohamed Salah at Anfield has also generated a lot of discussion.
