Duke freshman guard Kon Knueppel has officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, announcing his decision on social media earlier today. In his post, Knueppel expressed gratitude to Duke, stating he is “forever a Blue Devil” and will be “taking the Brotherhood with me to the next chapter” .
Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 217 pounds, Knueppel played a pivotal role in Duke’s successful season, averaging 14.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. He showcased impressive shooting efficiency, with a 47.9% field goal percentage, 40.6% from three-point range, and 91.4% from the free-throw line .
Knueppel’s standout performances were particularly notable during the ACC Tournament, where he earned MVP honors by scoring 63 points, grabbing 17 rebounds, and dishing out 14 assists over three games, stepping up in the absence of teammate Cooper Flagg . His efforts contributed to Duke’s impressive 35-4 record and a Final Four appearance.
Currently, Knueppel is projected as a lottery pick, with ESPN ranking him at No. 8 in their latest mock draft . The 2025 NBA Draft is scheduled to take place on June 25-26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York .
