Georgia quarterback Carson Beck announced on Saturday that he will forgo his final year of eligibility and declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Beck shared the news on Instagram, emphasizing his commitment to supporting the team through their College Football Playoff run despite his injury, as they chase “unfinished business.”
While Beck had the option to return for another season, his decision isn’t surprising. Once considered a potential first-round pick, his draft stock has likely taken a hit following an inconsistent season. Complicating matters further, Beck sustained a season-ending elbow injury during the SEC Championship, which could affect his pre-draft preparations.
As a senior, Beck threw for 3,485 yards with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, completing 64.7% of his passes. Aside from his touchdown total, his statistics declined compared to his junior season.
