“Referees Under Fire: Patriots Claim Crucial Call Cost Them the Win Against Colts!”

The New England Patriots endured a heartbreaking loss to the Indianapolis Colts yesterday, dropping to a 3-10 record for the season. With just 12 seconds left in the game, the Colts scored a touchdown on a pass from Anthony Richardson to Alec Pierce. Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen chose to go for a two-point conversion, which Richardson successfully ran in for the win.

However, a review of the play revealed that NFL referees missed a clear holding penalty on Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore. New England’s head coach, Jerod Mayo, expressed his frustration with the missed call, acknowledging it was apparent on film but stating, “It wasn’t called, so there’s no excuses from me on that.”

The missed call adds to a growing frustration with officiating in the NFL this season, with many controversial decisions impacting the Patriots.

Despite the tough break, New England now faces a bye week in Week 14, where they will regroup and prepare for the remainder of the season. This loss, especially after a strong effort, only adds to the team’s difficult year.
