The NFL trade deadline has passed, and the Cleveland Browns made minimal moves despite weeks of speculation around potential trades.
Ultimately, Cleveland completed one transaction, sending veteran defensive end Za’Darius Smith to the Detroit Lions along with a 2026 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick and a 2026 sixth-round pick.
This is the second trade by the Browns this season aimed at accumulating picks for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Last month, they traded Pro Bowl receiver Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills, along with a 2025 sixth-round pick, receiving a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick in return.
Now that the trade deadline has passed and the Browns have finished stockpiling picks, here are the selections they currently hold for next April’s NFL Draft:

At present, the Browns are projected to hold the fifth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to Tankathon. With a 2-7 record, Cleveland is grouped with eight other teams that also have two wins, while the Jets and Cowboys have three wins.
These teams will be competing for draft position throughout the remaining nine weeks of the season.
