Ian Rapoport reports that the New England Patriots will have a dinner meeting with Washington quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. on Monday.
Tomorrow in Foxboro, Penix will also visit the team as a top-30 player.
According to Jordan Schultz, Penix will be visiting Washington on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Penix could be selected in the first round this year, and organizations like the Raiders and Vikings are rumored to be interested in signing him.
Penix, 23, spent his first four seasons as a student at Indiana University. He then moved to Washington for the 2022–2023 season.
Penix is compared to Dolphins quarterback Lance Zierlein Tagovailoa Tua.
Penix completed 63.3 percent of his passes for 13,741 yards of total passing during his career, along with 96 touchdowns and 34 interceptions.
Additionally, Penix ran for 265 yards and 13 touchdowns.
