The Buffalo Bills have an offseason with a lot of changes ahead of them.As the second worst team in the NFL behind the New Orleans Saints, Buffalo will have to move a lot of money to attract more talent. As bleak as it sounds, there are steps the Bills can take to head in the right direction.
The Bills have more pieces to address on the defensive side of the ball, but they need to focus on getting more weapons for Josh Allen. One of the weapons they are thinking about and thinking about is San Francisco 49ers star wide receiver Brandon Ayuk.Asked about his future in San Francisco, Ayuk said he considered moving to the 49ers “if it was the best move” as he cleaned out his locker after the team’s Super Bowl loss. He also wrote after the loss: “Remember what got you here.”If Ayuk is not a target, he will immediately become a target in the Bills offense.
He led the 49ers in catches (75), yards (1,342) and touchdowns (7) and gave the Bills a much-needed talent boost.Despite having 107 receptions and 1,100 yards, Stefon Diggs struggled after a very hot start to the season and it was clear that he had lost steps to become a clear No. 1 receiver. Adding Ayuk would open up the Bills’ passing game, take pressure off Diggs and open up the future of players like Dalton Kincaid and Khalil Shaqir. If the Bills can create as much cap space as possible, they should trade a first-round pick for Ayuk. They might spend that pick on a receiver. You can even get a receiver that turns out to be really good, like they did when they bought Diggs.
