Quarterback Mitch Trubisky is now a free agent. The former first-round pick was announced by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday. Trubisky signed a contract with the Steelers after one year of service. He spent the first four years of his career with the Chicago Bears. After his release, there was speculation that the Bills might reunite with their former linebacker.Josh Allen is the only quarterback on Buffalo’s active roster as Kyle Allen will be a free agent. It would make sense for the Bills to bring Trubisky back.
His history with the team makes him an easy target for a cheap trade. But since Brian Daboll was the offensive coordinator in Buffalo in 2021, he had to learn a new system.Trubisky was taken second overall by the Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft. He led the Bears to a 12-4 record and an NFC North title after being selected to the Pro Bowl in 2018.
