Green bay led 21-14 in the fourth quarter, winning the game. But the game turned upside down when packers quarterback anders carlson missed a 41-yard field goal attempt with less than six minutes remaining. After missing the shot, fox’s tom rinaldi shared what lafleur said about carlson before the game.
To support his struggling rookie, the packers coach admitted that he needed help from a higher power. Lafleur’s prayers seem to have gone unanswered late in the game. green bay took a 24-17 lead in the NFC championship, but the packers became the first team to finish the season.
Despite coach lafleur’s divine pleas, his niners teammate was favored by the football gods.
