Reason Diogo Dalot was sent off in Liverpool vs Man Utd but Darwin Nunez wasn’t

Former referee Dermot Gallagher has dismissed Michael Oliver Darwin’s claims he should have sent off Nunes before red-carding Diogo Dalot following Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United.

A thrilling game at Anfield ended with little excitement, with the United right-back picking up at least two yellow cards in quick succession. Dalot was initially upset with the decision to give Liverpool the right to kick the ball.

Near the visitors’ 18-yard box, Mohamed Salah was challenged as he thought he should handle it. However, his outburst was punished by Oliver, although another reaction to the card resulted in a second and subsequent red card. This did not affect the final result, but at least it meant that the Reds’ opponents would be without a defender for their next game. Some felt the punishment was harsh because it was considered one incident rather than two separate incidents.

But Gallagher followed the referee’s decision and told Sky Sports Referee Control it was the right thing to do. [Throw] does not display misdirection.

If you look closely, it’s Manchester United’s throw. When I first saw it, I wasn’t sure if it was a Manchester United pitch, but I couldn’t help myself.”There’s a [reaction], a yellow card doesn’t come out, a yellow card comes out, and this [second reaction] is a reaction to the yellow card, right? So, unfortunately, I don’t think it’s a good thing. It’s not a good image to present to the world and be done with football. “Whether you like it or not, that’s been the mandate given to the referees for these types of offenses this season.

“Gallagher was asked about Oliver’s lack of consistency throughout the game, particularly after a series of first-half incidents involving Reds forward Nunez. The Uruguayan deserved a yellow card in every game as he shouldered Jonny Evans near the halfway line, whistled for a foul, kicked the ball and eventually taunted the assistant referee. Times are tough because it’s not an exact science, right? I can’t go anywhere because on one hand you say you don’t want two yellow cards for Dalot and two minutes later you say you want three yellow cards for Darwin Nunes.

“As much as I ran, they said I made a mistake.””If you look at the split screen I think the referee has no choice but to send Dalot off because if he objects first he gets a yellow card and if he sees a yellow card he gets a second yellow card . The first is for a throw. The year and the other is about yellow paper. “It’s not what people want, but it’s not pretty either.”Gallagher, again pressed by the Nunes incident, rejected the idea outright. “I see, but you didn’t send it?” He finished.
