Preston North End manager Ryan Rowe has commented on recent reports about Liverpool’s ‘fantastic’ Jarrell Qwansa.
Ryan Lowe has no idea where the reports linking his Preston North End side with Jarrell Quanza have come from. He spoke publicly about the possibility of Liverpool signing the young defender, but nothing happened.
“Honestly, I don’t know where it came from,” Lowe told the Lancashire Post. “Quansa is a fantastic player but I don’t think he will leave Liverpool anytime soon if he plays in the Europa League. He will probably play tonight [against LASK]!“So I don’t know where it came from. But he’s a great player.”The Post claim Preston have previously looked at Quansa’s, but a January move seems highly unlikely.
This will impress Lowe. The official residence has grown considerably this season. Jurgen Klopp watched him in pre-season and admitted he did not see the youngster becoming an option anytime soon.
However, the 20-year-old has featured in the EFL Cup and Europa League. Injuries and suspensions have strained Klopp’s hand a bit, but Kwansa has improved and become a very useful member of the team. The question now is how far he can go.
Liverpool may want to reinvest in their defense in January, if not the summer seems a certainty.
Quansa wants to position itself to compete with new entrants. So far he has done just that and some of his performances have been very impressive. In fact, even considering the lack of senior experience, it was impressive. So Liverpool have a real talent in Quanza and it will be interesting to see how much he can develop over the next few years.
