Mouhamed Dioubate Joins Kentucky: Wildcats Secure Key Frontcourt Addition

Dioubate, entering his junior year, brings two years of eligibility to Lexington. During his sophomore season with the Crimson Tide, he averaged 7.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, while shooting an impressive 61.7% from the field and 46.2% from three-point range. His versatility allows him to contribute effectively at both the small and power forward positions, providing Kentucky with much-needed depth and flexibility in the frontcourt .
Originally a four-star recruit from Queens, New York, Dioubate was ranked 104th overall and 22nd among power forwards in the 2023 class by 247Sports. He chose Alabama over offers from several top programs, including Maryland, Ohio State, and Kansas State .
