Duke Fans Celebrate as Jon Scheyer Breaks Silence on Double Addition to Blue Devils’ Roster
Duke basketball fans are buzzing with excitement after head coach Jon Scheyer officially confirmed two major additions to the Blue Devils’ roster.
The 2025 recruiting class now includes five-star prospects Shelton Henderson and Nikolas Khamenia, both expected to make an immediate impact on the court.
Shelton Henderson, a 6-foot-6 wing from Bellaire High School in Texas, is ranked No. 22 nationally by the 247Sports Composite. Known for his explosive athleticism and defensive versatility, Henderson averaged 21.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.9 steals, and 1.4 blocks as a junior. Coach Scheyer praised his all-around game, saying, “His athleticism, versatility as a defender, and high-level competitiveness is everything we look for.”
Joining him is Nikolas Khamenia, a 6-foot-8 forward from Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles, ranked No. 26 nationally. Khamenia is known for his toughness, high basketball IQ, and winning mentality, having led his team to consecutive state championships. Scheyer described him as “a high-level passer who can shoot, handle the ball, and defend multiple positions.”
These additions strengthen an already loaded 2025 class that features the Boozer twins, Cameron and Cayden, along with point guard Isaiah Evans.
With this talented incoming group, Duke is looking to continue its legacy of success and dominance in college basketball. Fans are optimistic and energized by the future under Coach Scheyer’s leadership.
