The New England Patriots have officially appointed Mike Vrabel as their head coach, Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator, and Terrell Williams as defensive coordinator, while retaining Jeremy Springer as special teams coordinator.
Vrabel is now in the process of finalizing the remaining coaching staff beneath the coordinators.
Regarding the NFL Draft, speculation continues on whether the Tennessee Titans will select a position other than quarterback with the first overall pick, as discussed on The Insiders.
In an interview with WBZ on Friday, Vrabel confirmed that assistant special teams coach Tom Quinn will remain in his position under Springer. Quinn, 56, joined Jerod Mayo’s staff in 2024 after a lengthy tenure with the New York Giants as special teams coordinator from 2007 to 2017 and later worked under Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans as a special teams assistant.
Additionally, MassLive’s Mark Daniels reported that defensive assistant Clinton McMillan is set to join the Patriots. McMillan previously worked with Vrabel in Tennessee from 2021 to 2023 as an assistant defensive line coach. He continued in that role in 2024 while also serving as a pass-rush specialist after Vrabel’s departure.
McMillan’s coaching background includes stints at Weber State, Marshall, Ohio Dominican, UT Martin, and Florida State, following his collegiate playing career at Florida.
In New England, both Quinn and McMillan will reunite with Vrabel, Williams, Tony Dews, Zak Kuhr, and John Streicher— all of whom have past experience with the Titans.
