The New England Patriots have officially named Mike Vrabel as their next head coach and are now focused on assembling his coaching staff for the 2025 season.
According to a report from ESPN’s Mike Reiss on Sunday, the Patriots are expected to bring in Frank Piraino and John Streicher to join Vrabel’s staff. Piraino, 45, served as the New York Giants’ director of strength and conditioning during the 2024 season, following five years with the Tennessee Titans as a strength and conditioning coach and director of sports performance under Vrabel.
Streicher, meanwhile, spent the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Rams as a game management assistant under Sean McVay, gaining valuable experience. Prior to that, he worked with Vrabel for six seasons in Tennessee, holding roles such as director of football administration and football development coordinator/assistant to the head coach.
Both hires could provide a significant boost to a Patriots staff that currently has several vacancies.
