The New England Patriots have announced the signing of guard Michael Jordan to their practice squad.
In a corresponding move, the team has released tackle Jalen McKenzie from the practice squad.
Jordan, 26, was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State.
He was in the third year of his four-year rookie deal worth $3,008,392, with a base salary of $850,000, when the Bengals waived him during the preseason.
Afterward, Jordan was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers, who re-signed him as an unrestricted free agent in May.
However, he was released during final roster cuts before the season. He then joined the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad, where he spent most of the season, before being released at the end of 2023. Jordan subsequently signed with the Patriots, alternating between the active roster and the practice squad, before being waived in November.
In 2024, Jordan has played in 11 games for the Patriots. Below is the updated list of players on the Patriots’ practice squad:
