The Chicago Bears and New England Patriots may soon find themselves as trade partners.
Bears GM Ryan Poles is known for being active in the trade market, which is why it’s not surprising that players like Khalil Herbert, Nate Davis, and Dominique Robinson are being explored for trades. However, one player that may raise eyebrows in trade talks is Dominique Robinson.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler recently reported that the Bears are considering trade options for Robinson, who could benefit from a change of scenery. He noted that teams like the Cowboys, Cardinals, and Commanders are in need of pass rushers. Khalil Herbert, meanwhile, is seen as surplus to requirements in the running back rotation and is expected to attract interest. Additionally, offensive tackle Larry Borom, who is eligible to return from injured reserve, could prompt inquiries about Chicago’s tackle depth.
In light of Fowler’s report, Erik Lambert from Sports Mockery speculated that Borom might be a target for the New England Patriots, along with three other teams.
Lambert stated, “The only question is which teams might pursue Borom.” He pointed out that rookie Kiran Amegadjie has recently debuted and is expected to serve as the primary backup tackle, along with Matt Pryor, who can play multiple positions. This situation puts Borom in a challenging position.
“Trading him makes sense for both sides. Teams like New England, San Francisco, Miami, and New York could be suitable destinations as they navigate injuries or other issues. It ultimately depends on who makes the best offer.”
Borom is in the final year of his four-year, $3.8 million contract extension.
