The Buffalo Bills have acquired veteran receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns.
The Bills announced Tuesday that Cooper and a 2025 sixth-round draft pick will be exchanged for a 2025 third-round pick and a 2026 seventh-round pick.
This trade comes a day after the Bills’ 23-20 win over the New York Jets, who also bolstered their receiving corps by acquiring Davante Adams.
Cooper, 30, is a five-time Pro Bowl player with seven seasons of over 1,000 receiving yards. This season, in six starts with the 1-5 Browns, he has recorded 24 receptions for 250 yards and two touchdowns. His arrival provides Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen with a high-profile target, filling the void left by Stefon Diggs, who was traded to the Houston Texans in April.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid leads the Bills (4-2) with 21 receptions, while wide receiver Khalil Shakir has the most receiving yards, totaling 249 on 20 catches.
In his 10 NFL seasons, Cooper has played in 146 games (139 starts), registering 691 catches for 9,736 yards and 62 touchdowns. He previously played for the then-Oakland Raiders (2015-18), Dallas Cowboys (2018-21), and Browns.
Cooper is in the final year of a five-year, $100 million deal he signed with the Cowboys in 2020 and is set to become a free agent in 2025.
