The Cleveland Browns endured another defeat on Sunday, falling to 1-5 after a 20-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.
The Browns’ offense struggled once again, failing to reach 20 points in any game this season.
With their season hanging by a thread, Cleveland might be inclined to sell at the trade deadline on Nov. 5. One of their most valuable trade assets is wide receiver Amari Cooper, who is in the final year of his contract and could benefit a playoff contender.
If the Browns choose to part ways with Cooper, Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon suggests the Minnesota Vikings could be a potential landing spot. Although subpar quarterback play from Deshaun Watson has affected Cooper’s production, the five-time Pro Bowler remains one of the league’s most reliable and explosive receivers, having recorded seven 1,000-yard seasons in his nine-year career, including a career-best 1,250 yards in 2023 despite inconsistent quarterback play in Cleveland.
The Vikings already have a strong receiving group, but adding Cooper would elevate their offense. A pairing of Justin Jefferson and Cooper would instantly create the NFL’s most dangerous wide receiver duo, with Jordan Addison as an ideal WR3 complement to the two Pro Bowlers.
However, completing this trade could be challenging for Minnesota, as they lack Day 2 draft picks and only hold three selections in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Vikings’ first-round pick will likely fall in the mid-to-late 20s, which Browns GM Andrew Barry could demand in a potential deal.
