Jordan Love passed on-field practice tests on Friday, but the Green Bay Packers are still waiting for one last clearance before he can return from a left knee injury sustained in the Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur stated that Love, who is officially listed as questionable, has not yet received medical clearance for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville. While there’s a chance he could start, it’s not guaranteed.
“We’re working through that,” LaFleur said when asked about Love’s potential clearance.
He added that Love will be part of the decision-making process and that they will wait until game time to finalize their choice. “There’s definitely a lot that’s up to him. You don’t want to put someone in that position, but he’s doing everything he can to get back out there.”
Initially expected to miss 3-6 weeks due to a sprained MCL, Love has practiced with a compression sleeve on Wednesday and a heavier metal brace on Friday.
If Love can’t play, the Packers will start Malik Willis for the second week in a row. Acquired by the Packers before the season, Willis, drafted by the Titans in 2022, led the team to a 16-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday.
