Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson hasn’t had the best week.
Following a poor performance against the Dallas Cowboys in their season opener, Watson also faced off-field concerns due to a civil lawsuit.
With everything happening simultaneously, it’s understandable why Cleveland fans might be losing confidence in their top quarterback before their next game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
However, Watson has strong support within the locker room, including from safety Grant Delpit. Analyst Justin Cooper shared a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, where Delpit expressed his unwavering support for Watson before the upcoming game.
Delpit assured Watson, “I’ve got your back, no matter what,” emphasizing, “You’re in this locker room with us, and I would never do anything to harm or oppose you.” He repeatedly affirmed that Watson is “his quarterback,” showing his commitment to supporting him as the team’s starter.
Delpit acknowledged that Watson has significant personal and professional challenges but stated that the team is focused on working through those issues.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski also endorsed Watson, confirming him as the starting quarterback for their game against the Jaguars this weekend.
