More injuries Pile up for the Patriots as two added again to Patriots’ injury report on eve of season opener vs. Bengals

The New England Patriots added a key player to their injury report just before their regular season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. Safety Jabrill Peppers is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game due to a hip issue.

Peppers, 28, is expected to play a crucial role in the Patriots’ defense this season. Known for his versatility and physicality, he has become a vital part of the secondary, forming a strong safety duo with veteran Kyle Dugger. Peppers was named a team captain for the first time this year, highlighting his leadership on and off the field.

Although Peppers missed part of training camp and sat out the preseason, he wasn’t on the injury report earlier in the week. His appearance on the list came on Saturday, just before the team’s trip to Cincinnati.

In addition to Peppers, three other Patriots are listed as questionable for Week 1: running back Antonio Gibson (hip), offensive tackle Vederian Lowe (abdomen), and linebacker Joshua Uche (foot). Starting left guard Sidy Sow has already been ruled out with an ankle injury.

The Patriots will face the Bengals at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 8.
