After the conclusion of mandatory minicamps in the NFL earlier this month, there will be a significant gap before players return to the field.
The next time we will see players in action will be during the start of training camps on July 24. This means there will be over a month without much activity, but it doesn’t mean that players will be idle during the summer.
For the New England Patriots’ third overall pick, Drake Maye, the work continues. After a long draft and offseason, Maye will have a few weeks away from the team before embarking on his rookie season. Maye expressed his relief at finally having a break after a rigorous process. This break before training camps and the preseason will be highly beneficial for the young quarterback.
During his time off, Maye plans to spend time with his family back home and also work with former NFL coach Clyde Christensen at his alma mater.
Christensen, who has extensive experience as a coordinator and quarterbacks coach, will help Maye prepare for his rookie campaign.
