Matt corral’s professional football career hasn’t started as planned. Though corral was a third-round pick in 2022, he has yet to play in a regular season game in the nfl, and he recently signed with the birmingham stallions of the united football league, as reported by charean williams of pro football talk. Corral was selected by the matt rhule-era panthers in 2022, and it is likely that he would have had the opportunity to play regular-season games at some point. Unfortunately, a preseason lisfranc injury ended his rookie season before it began.

Before the ufl announced corral would join the stallions, we had only heard of him for the first time.
The ufl, which is the result of the recent usfl-xfl merger, will begin play next month. The stallions won the usfl championship in 2023 and seem to be on track to help corral showcase his skills as he (presumably) strives to return to the sport’s highest level. If the 25-year-old excels, he could pique the attention of nfl teams, particularly because of his draft pedigree (even though the 2022 class of collegiate signal-callers was a poor one). Birmingham also signed adrian martinez, a quarterback who played for nebraska and kansas state before joining the lions as a udfa last april.
