A forthcoming documentary on the new england patriots’ dynasty is expected to shed new light on tom brady’s friendship with bill belichick, as well as what led to his departure.
Apple tv+ will premiere the first two episodes of “the dynasty,” a 10-part series featuring interviews with almost all of new england’s main figures from the two-decade reign of dominance on friday.
Me and coach Belichick, we did what we loved and competed for 20 years together,” Brady in the documentary said. “But I wasn’t going to sign another contract (in New England) even if I wanted to play until (I was) 50. Based on how things had gone, I wasn’t going to sign up for more of it.”
The athletic’s chad graff has aired the film, and brady makes some blunt and telling remarks about the end of his time with the patriots, according to graff’s report, but it seems that brady could no longer work with belichick in the film.
Belichick has denied previous allegations that he was also able to move forward, but this only adds to the fact that the two’s relationship had gone sour by the time brady left for the buccaneers. The relationship seems to have deteriorated in the last few years, at least publicly. However, it also means that brady might be able to offer some brutally honest memories of his patriots career’s final days.
