This offseason, the pittsburgh steelers are looking for a quarterback, and justin fields could be on their list.
Pittsburgh is expected to call the chicago bears for their former first-round pick, according to NFL insider benjamin allbright.

According to Allbright, the steelers are one of three teams he expects to call chicago for fields. Head coach mike tomlin is a big fan of fields, according to ESPN’s adam schefter, and pittsburgh will be looking for outsider options to bring in. fields’ trade value has risen all over the country. It was a second- or third-round pick at the time. It’s also expected to be a first-rounder.
However, if only three teams are calling, pittsburgh could be able to lower the price and remain competitive in the hunt for the quarterback.
Mason Rudolph isn’t expected to be retained by the steelers, so they’re looking for another veteran to replace kenny pickett as a challenger. Fields is a free agent who can play his fifth year on the team and possibly come to pittsburgh to earn his spot as the team’s next long-term starter.
