Ryan Tannehill the only way to integrate a rookie quarterback into a franchise is to have a strong veteran behind him or to simply start in front of him early on. Patrick mahomes, lamar jackson, jalen hurts, brock purdy, and jordan love all went through it. In the last two seasons, they’ve all been to the super bowl or won a playoff game. Signing a veteran like ryan tannehill would make a lot of sense for new england because it would allow the newcomer to develop behind a good leader and set themselves up for success.
Is there a shortage of running backs for the patriots? Sure. but it’s not impossible. Could pollard be used in the passing game more effectively than any other free-agent running back? Yes.
