FINAL OFFER: The NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS officially announced the signing of Quarterback worth a total of $118 million.

The patriots target have officially financed the $118 million contract offer for the star QB who is ready to join the squad. there is no bigger question for new england football fans than who will be the patriots quarterback when the 2024 season comes around.

There are a variety of ways the pats could go on the subject (we’ll get into that one day), but it would be a bold move to sign kirk cousins, the same 36-year-old kirk cousins who only played eight games last season due to an achilles tendon tear. And the same kirk cousins is expected to cost any team that signs him around $40 million per year, according to the nfl. Because of the injury, spotrac expects his market to receive a three-year $118 million contract, while pro football focus expects him to receive a more modest two-year, $60 million contract. The patriots are the no. 1 favorite, according to bookies.com, to be a part of the NFL.

Cousins is the second favorite to sign this offseason, behind the raiders (at plus-400, or 20%), and the falcons (at plus-425, or 19.1%). The patriots’ odds of signing cousins are at plus-500, or 16.7%. the question of which team will draft their next quarterback is one that will be addressed in the coming months.

They have four choices in essence.

They could make an aggressive and surprising move in free agency, as would be required to sign cousins. Baker mayfield would be a possibility, or, if he is free, russell wilson of the broncos. Ryan tannehill would be a low-cost option. But again, it’s a long shot that the patriots will sign a big-time quarterback on the market, because those quarterbacks would take a look at the team’s mess at wide receiver and offensive line and move on.

If they gave up a ton of money to get the no. 0 chance, the second option would be to advance in the draft. 1 pick. They’d then be able to draft caleb williams, presumably. Given what the bears were able to steal from the panthers for the no. 1 seed, the bears were able to steal from them. Such a deal would cost new england this year’s no. 1 pick last year, and it would cost the state $1 million. This option would be unpalatable if there were more draft assets than the three-pick pick and next year’s first-round pick.

Third, they could make a trade for justin fields, presumably with the bears. That would be much less costly in terms of assets, but also a bit more risky. Before paying fields a lot of money, the patriots have a year to see if he is the right one. They could also bet on a trade for the likes of trey lance or another idea.
