Bill Belichick’s successor, Jerod Mayo, was named last week after the organization and its iconic coach decided to part ways.

But the Patriots will likely waive former first-round pick Mack Jones, so they’ll be missing a quarterback more than anything else. And for those who like to gamble, there’s a good chance the Patriots will get Justin Fields from the Bears in exchange for a new center.IllinoisBet.com, a website that offers odds on Fields’ next team, says: Not. 2 Only the Falcons are ahead of the Patriots and Raiders. The website says the Falcons posted their 475th win (of 900) with wins over the New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders this week. Trade for Justin Fields.

They are followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings, all tied at 1,200 points. Additionally, Fields and Bear have a 40% (150) chance to sign long-term contracts. As a good running back, Fields is an interesting case study in the NFL. He has shown improvement this season, especially after returning from a thumb injury that sidelined him for four games to end the season in October and November.

He rushed for 1,157 yards on 10.7 carries per game last season. This season, he limited his rushes slightly at the suggestion of his coach, but still managed 9.5 rushes per game for 657 yards. However, he improved as a passer, finishing his three-year career with an average of 197.1 yards per game. He had a 2.4 percent interception percentage, including nine interceptions, and completed 61.4 percent of his throws.

The Bears are 4-3 in their last seven games with Fields starting under center after starting the season 1-5. After a relatively impressive finish, the team’s defensive intentions were questioned. They could select an elite prospect like Drake May or Caleb Williams with the first-round pick in the 2019 draft they currently receive from the Panthers. Or, as evidenced by Fields’ impressive seven-game hitting streak, the Bears could decide to keep Fields and trade the pick for more talent.

After this season, Spotrac estimates his annual market value to be $47.1 million and he is expected to sign a contract worth $283 million over six years.
