Boston (new york) — the atlanta falcons have found a new head coach, and it isn’t bill belichick. Now everyone is curious about the future hall of famer.
Belichick has only met with the falcons since the new england patriots split up after the 2023 season, but atlanta is reportedly planning to sign raheem morris as the franchise’s next head coach. The only two nfl teams without a head coach are the washington commanders and seattle seahawks.
According to jeff howe of the athletic, belichick is a long shot for both. According to league sources, “it would take a change of direction for something to happen with the commanders or seahawks,” howe said thursday. There is a good chance that belichick will go without a head coaching job in 2024 unless another one emerges in the coming weeks. What would he do then? In april, belichick will turn 72, so it is unlikely that he will play a full season and expect to return in 2025. Is it possible to call it a career, just 15 wins away from don shula’s wins record? He is most likely not going to be a coordinator position.
If belichick wishes to remain in the game, perhaps there will be a senior advisor position somewhere, and i hope that another opportunity arises in 2025. Belichick will be 73 years old at the time, and retaining him for two or three seasons would be difficult for clubs searching for a new head coach. Could he please surprise everyone and work in the media? As a coach, belichick wasn’t a fan of his press conferences, but he did win an emmy for his appearance on the nfl100 all-time team. The man likes to play football and knows more about the sport than any other man alive.
He’s proved that he’s incredibly amusing in the right environment. Or maybe he and nick saban can create a podcast together, since almost everyone in the world has a podcast. at this point, if there are no jobs available as a head coach, it seems like anything can happen with belichick.
