During the game, the 2023 sixth round draft pick missed a 41-yard field goal, much to the dismay of fans and coaches alike. the miss was carlson’s first on kicks between 41 and 49 yards. It was also his 10th missed kick in the last 12 games (playoff games included).

To stay in this league, you’ve got to be consistent.” during the broadcast, lafleur admitted that whenever carlson takes the field to kick a field goal, all he can do is pray that it comes in. The head coach’s words aren’t exactly encouraging.
