Fans should be honoured to have a socially active head coach who can lead their team.
Although i may not agree with his theory in the long run, i believe the new england patriots made a wise decision when they selected jerod mayo as the new head coach.
Although i may have had similar reservations with detroit lions head coach dan campbell when he was first hired, he turned out to be a great coach with the same qualities that mayo has. Although campbell started his career off with a bizarre press conference about being a “knee-biter,” mayo expressed how proud he was to be the first african-american head coach in the new england patriots’ history.
The latter was the interview that was the most scrutinized, revealing that being “woke” is one of the most bizarre insults in history, even if it attacks someone for being culturally and ethnically attended. Surprisingly, right wing commentators and fans throw it around like its candy.
While i ever hear from bringing in a yawn coach who doesn’t have prior experience as a offensive or defensive coordinator, this is my one real issue with mayo, who otherwise seems remarkably qualified to lead the way for new england.
Mayo was an incredibly respected inside linebacker who was named to the pro bowl twice and won a super bowl with the team during his seven-year career. Mayo showed off as an incredibly creative young man after three years in the financial services industry before joining the coaching staff with his former team in 2019 as the inside linebackers coach.
