And the former patriots quarterback and Belichick assistant is embracing all of it, promising first and foremost that the patriots’ new era will be led by someone who is much more than just a franchise name. “i’m not trying to be bill,” Mayo said at his introductory news conference on wednesday. “i think bill is his own man,” Bill says.
