Draymond green could become a laker in a three-team trade with the bulls and warriors, according to bill simmons.
following the removal of the january 15 deadline, most NBA’s players may be traded between now and february 8.
In the chaos that ensues on deadline day, the bulls, lakers, and warriors are all expected to be involved in some way. Although the bulls are set to dismantle in order to rebuild, the lakers and warriors are expected to purchase for their win-now initiatives.
Bill simmons has devised a strategy in which draymond to the lakers is the center of attention, and all three teams get what they want. The lakers would need one more player to make the deal possible. Jaxson hayes would be the most out-of-place with another addition in the frontcourt, especially after christian wood made his debut in the lineup recently.
The warriors acquired Vucevic, while the lakers acquired him in the first round. In essence, it allows the bulls and warriors to switch around their frontcourt players, and the lakers pay the price for a 24-year-old forward with talent and a draft pick that will be valuable long after this current lakers team is gone.
Simmons thinks this deal is correct, but it goes against what the Lakers want, so it is unlikely to happen. This team needs to keep the pieces on their roster young in the event that they need to reassemble a winning core around their players, as they could lose lebron james as soon as this summer.
Given that draymond is past his prime and receives a long-term contract, the warriors are the winners in this contract right now by upgrading staff, though the prospect of selling him is much more difficult.
Green is a one-franchise man who has given his best to the warriors, so moving away from golden state would hurt him even if he is sent to play with LeBron.
The warriors will accept it as long as they have a player with 16.8 points and 10.4 rebounds like vucevic as their starting center.
