Former Liverpool striker has been named Ian Wright’s Player of the Year. Dominic Solank believes the Bournemouth star was once ridiculed and is now forcing him to change his opinion of him.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Wright said Solanke can do whatever is asked of him as a striker and has now added a goal to his game.
The Arsenal legend labeled the former Liverpool forward as the best player in the league this season, saying:”He can do anything. What he has done now is add goals to his game. Now he is in a position to capitalize on his opportunity. I am very happy for him because he is the one who makes everyone laugh. “It’s not very good and it’s getting worse.”
Many mocked his lack of success after leaving Chelsea and there were many rumors that he would be the next player to go, then to Liverpool, but it never panned out.Liverpool sold Solanke to Bournemouth for £19m and he has been in top form this season. He played in 19 games this season, scoring 12 goals and lifting the team to 12th place.
