Jurgen Klopp confident Liverpool can keep up form in star’s upcoming absence

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says the Reds have a plan for Mohamed Salah’s absence.

The Egypt international could be sidelined for around a month due to taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations in January. Klopp: “The long-term plans I can make depend on who is available.

So why worry about who to use in October when you don’t even know who will be available in October without Mo? “We have a solution today and hopefully it will come after Newcastle. It is not the first time, the loss of a marker is very average. But when Sadio Mane and Mo left, our situation was worse than before. I have always experienced this. The situation is made worse because traditionally at least one of them has gone far in the tournament.

The tournament begins on January 13, with Egypt playing their first match against Mozambique on January 14. If they fully do so, the forward could be back on the pitch by February 12. Liverpool have no shortage of strikers, including Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunes, Diogo Lotta and Luis Diaz. However, Salah has 16 goals and 8 assists in 26 games this season.
