Roy Keane nearly choked when he heard Gary Neville’s predictions for Liverpool’s crucial Premier League clash with Arsenal on Saturday.
The top two teams face off at Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp’s side currently a point behind the Gunners as they look for their first win at the stadium in 11 years.The former Manchester United duo were among the Sky Sports pundits who predicted the clash, with Neville saying he believes Mikel Arteta’s side will win 2-0.
However, Keane was unable to see his former club held to a 0-0 draw at Liverpool last weekend, but failed to see Arsenal stop Liverpool’s attack. He firmly told Neville: “Liverpool can’t score at home. Two games in a row. – Are you serious? Someone ruined his dinner!” We can only guess if the Irishman said this ahead of last night’s 5-1 Carabao Cup win over West Ham, or if he was just focusing on the Premier League game.
However, Liverpool fans will probably enjoy Neville’s hilarious and incredulous reaction to his prediction. Even with his recent debate about Virgil van Dijk. Liverpool haven’t kept a clean sheet at Anfield since March 2021, so it’s understandable why Keane dismissed the idea of a replay on Saturday.
