Manager Pep Guardiola admitted he is not thinking about “big goals” after Manchester City lost 1-0 to Aston Villa on Wednesday night.
The reigning Premier League champions had just two attempts on target in the defeat by Villa and have now gone four games without a win in the top flight.
It is the first time since April 2017. City are currently six points behind leaders Arsenal and four behind second-placed Liverpool and are in the shadow of the team that won the historic treble last season.
City are clearly out of the title race this season despite another poor run of results, but their manager admitted their players cannot afford to be considered for top spot as they currently sit fourth in the league standings.”It was a good second half.
